E- MAIL BANKING
The I&M Infomail service enables an account holder to obtain information on account balance and transaction statement by email. The request is initiated by the customer by sending an email to infomail@imbank.co.ke from his/her registered email address and the response is sent from the Bank with the requested information immediately to the registered email.
This is currently a FREE service to I&M customers.
USER GUIDE
For I&M Infomail, please send an e-mail to infomail@imbank.co.ke from your registered e-mail address with the following text in the message "SUBJECT" line:
A. For balance: BALANCE/AC account number
Example:
/BALANCE/AC 0044442000KES5
B. For statement from a particular date, type:
/STATEMENT/AC account number/DATE DD-MON-YYYY
Example:
/STATEMENT/AC 0044442000KES5/DATE 01-JAN-2004
C. For mini statement of last 10 transactions, type:

Terms & Conditions for Use of Email Banking
The Customer hereby acknowledges that Internet transmission lines are not encrypted and that email is not a secure means of transmission. The Customer therefore hereby acknowledges and accepts that such un-secure transmission methods involve security risks including possible third party interception risk and/or possible unauthorized alteration of data and/or unauthorized usage thereof for whatever purposes. The Customer specifically agrees to exempt the Bank from any and all responsibility and/or liability arising from any such misuse and agrees not to hold the Bank liable in any way for any such misuse. The Customer further agrees to hold the Bank free and harmless from all losses, costs, damages, expenses that may be suffered by the Customer due to any errors and/or delays. The Customer agrees that any such misuse and/or errors as aforesaid shall not be considered as a breach by the Bank of banker-customer confidentiality. The Bank shall not be liable in any way in the event the Customer does not receive e-mails sent by the Bank to the Customer due to Internet Service Provider server problems, bad / slow connections and/or any other issue on the part of either the Internet Service Provider and/or the Mail server and/or the Customer. The Customer hereby undertakes to verify the correctness of each Statement of Account or report in relation to any transaction in respect of the Customer’s Account(s) and to notify the Bank within 30 days of the receipt of the said Statement or report or before giving any further instructions thereon, whichever is the earlier, of any discrepancies, omissions or debits wrongly made or inaccuracies in the said Statement or report so generated. If no objection is made within 30 days or before further instructions are given by the Customer as aforesaid, the said Statement or report shall be deemed to be conclusive evidence as against the Customer without any further proof that the said Statement or report is correct and the Bank shall be free from all claims in respect thereto. Under no circumstances, including negligence, shall the Bank and/or any party involved in creating, producing, delivering or managing the Customer’s Statements of Account, be liable in any way for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that may result from the use or inability to use the Bank’s E-mail banking facilities or out of the breach of any warranty, whether express or implied. The use and/or storage by the Customer of any information including without limitation, password, Account information, transmission activity, Account balances and any other information available in respect of the Customer’s Account and or the Bank’s E-mail Banking Facilities is at Customer’s own risk, sole responsibility and liability. The Bank reserves the right to add, modify, replace or withdraw the internet Banking facilities at any time, for any reason whatsoever, without prior notice to the Customer. While advance notice of maintenance work likely to affect the Internet Banking facilities may be given, the Bank reserves the right to suspend, without notice, access to Internet Banking facilities or the provision of all or any of the services at any time if the Bank deems it necessary to do so at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion. The words and expressions used herein shall, unless the context otherwise requires, have the same meaning as in the Bank’s General Terms and Conditions and/or the Bank’s Next Generation Terms and Conditions . These Terms and Conditions shall be in addition to and not in derogation of the Bank’s General Terms and Conditions and/or the Bank’s Next Generation Terms and Conditions, all of which the Customer hereby confirms as having read, understood and agreed to adhere to.
